Who are the greatest players in Premier League history?
It's one of football's biggest debates. From legendary title winners and record-breaking goalscorers to midfield maestros and world-class defenders, the Premier League has produced an incredible number of players who could make a claim for an all-time XI.
Rather than choosing the team ourselves, we've let the My Greatest 11 community decide.
Every team submitted through our My Greatest 11 team builder contributes to the community data, allowing us to see which players are selected most often and which formation fans prefer.
Based on the community selections so far, this is the current Premier League All-Time XI.

GK, Petr ฤech
Starting in goal is Petr ฤech, one of the greatest goalkeepers in Premier League history.
ฤech became a Chelsea legend after arriving in 2004 and quickly established himself as one of the league's most reliable goalkeepers.
He won multiple Premier League titles with Chelsea and played a key role in some of the club's most successful teams.
His shot-stopping, positioning and consistency made him one of the defining goalkeepers of the Premier League era.
The community has currently placed ฤech at the top of the goalkeeper rankings for this all-time XI.
RB, Gary Neville
At right-back is Gary Neville, who spent his entire Premier League career with Manchester United.
Neville was a hugely important member of Sir Alex Ferguson's dominant United teams and won numerous Premier League titles during his career.
Known for his defensive discipline, positioning and consistency, Neville was rarely spectacular but almost always dependable.
His understanding of the game and ability to perform at the highest level for more than a decade make him a popular choice for the all-time right-back position.
CB, John Terry
One half of the centre-back partnership is John Terry.
The Chelsea captain became one of the most dominant defenders in Premier League history.
Terry combined physical strength with excellent positioning, aerial ability and leadership. He was a key figure in Chelsea's rise to becoming one of English football's dominant teams.
He won multiple Premier League titles and captained Chelsea during one of the most successful periods in the club's history.
CB, Rio Ferdinand
Partnering Terry is Rio Ferdinand, another defender who helped define the Premier League era.
Ferdinand became a central figure in Manchester United's defence after joining from Leeds United.
His pace, composure and ability to play out from the back made him different from many traditional centre-backs of his era.
Ferdinand won numerous Premier League titles with United and formed an outstanding defensive partnership with Nemanja Vidiฤ.
Having both Terry and Ferdinand in the community XI creates a centre-back pairing combining physical strength, pace, intelligence and leadership.
LB, Ashley Cole
At left-back is Ashley Cole, widely regarded as one of the finest full-backs the Premier League has produced.
Cole enjoyed enormous success with both Arsenal and Chelsea and became renowned for his ability to defend against some of the world's best attacking players.
His pace, positioning and one-on-one defending made him particularly difficult to beat.
He was also part of Arsenal's famous 2003/04 Invincibles before later winning the Premier League again with Chelsea.
The community's choice of Cole gives the XI one of the most accomplished full-backs in Premier League history.
CM, Frank Lampard
One of the midfield positions belongs to Frank Lampard.
Lampard is one of the greatest goalscoring midfielders English football has ever produced.
During his Chelsea career, he regularly scored goals from midfield while also providing assists and controlling games.
He won multiple Premier League titles and became Chelsea's all-time leading goalscorer.
His ability to arrive late in the box and contribute goals makes him an ideal midfielder in a 4-3-3.
CM, Paul Scholes
Alongside Lampard is Paul Scholes.
The Manchester United legend was one of the most technically gifted midfielders of his generation.
Scholes could dictate matches with his passing, control the tempo from deep and contribute spectacular long-range goals.
He won numerous Premier League titles with Manchester United and was an integral part of Sir Alex Ferguson's most successful teams.
Playing alongside Lampard gives the midfield a combination of creativity, passing and goalscoring.
CM, Kevin De Bruyne
Completing the midfield three is Kevin De Bruyne.
The Belgian became one of the defining midfielders of the modern Premier League era at Manchester City.
His passing range, vision and ability to create chances from almost anywhere on the pitch made him one of the league's most productive creative players.
De Bruyne played a major role in Manchester City's dominance under Pep Guardiola, winning multiple Premier League titles.
His inclusion also gives the XI a more modern creative dimension, with De Bruyne capable of playing incisive passes through even the smallest gaps.
RF, Mohamed Salah
On the right side of the attack is Mohamed Salah.
Since joining Liverpool, Salah has established himself as one of the Premier League's greatest goalscorers.
His combination of pace, movement, dribbling and finishing has made him one of the greatest forwards in the competition.
Salah has consistently challenged for the Golden Boot (winning 4) and played a major role in Liverpool's Premier League title success.
His ability to cut inside from the right and attack the penalty area makes him a natural fit for this 4-3-3.
CF, Wayne Rooney
Leading the line is Wayne Rooney, one of the most complete forwards in Premier League history.
Rooney was capable of playing as a striker, second striker or attacking midfielder, giving him enormous versatility.
He became Manchester United's all-time leading goalscorer and won numerous Premier League titles during his time at Old Trafford.
His combination of technique, physicality, creativity and goalscoring makes him an obvious candidate for an all-time Premier League XI.
LF, Thierry Henry
On the left is Thierry Henry, who became one of the Premier League's most devastating attackers during his Arsenal career.
Henry's pace, technique, movement and finishing made him almost impossible to defend against at his peak.
He was the central figure in Arsenal's 2003/04 Invincibles season and won multiple Premier League Golden Boots.
The Frenchman could score, create and carry the ball over long distances, making him the perfect left-sided forward for this XI.
A 4-3-3 Built by the Community
The most interesting part of this XI is that it hasn't been selected by us.
Every player has been chosen based on the selections submitted by members of the My Greatest 11 community.
The 4-3-3 is currently the most popular formation for the Premier League All-Time XI, and the players with the highest selection numbers in each position make up the current team.
That means this XI can change.
As more football fans build their own Premier League teams, the community data will continue to evolve. A player currently outside the XI could climb the rankings, while one of the current starters could eventually drop out.

The current team features some of the biggest names in Premier League history, but it isn't set in stone.
Players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Patrick Vieira, Nemanja Vidiฤ, Vincent Kompany, Steven Gerrard, Ryan Giggs, David Silva and Harry Kane could all have strong claims depending on how the community votes.
That's what makes the project so interesting.
There is no single correct Premier League All-Time XI. The community gets to decide.
For now, the most selected XI is:
ฤech
Neville - Terry - Ferdinand - Cole
Lampard - Scholes - De Bruyne
Salah - Rooney - Henry
But as more fans submit their teams, this lineup could look very different.
Do you agree with the community's current Premier League All-Time XI, or would your team look completely different?
